Hi, thank you for spending your time to read this. My name is Thy Tran, a senior at Methacton High School in Pennsylvania. To be honest I don’t really know how I got into art. When I was in elementary school I hated to draw, I did not even know how to draw a flower. But things changed when I moved to the United States. I was scheduled for Art 1 in ninth grade and little did I know that art was my thing. I’ve learned how to do shading with pencils, how to paint with watercolor, how to stretch out canvas, etc. and much more stuff that I never thought I will have a chance to try them. I always enjoy the time that I have in art period, my most favorite period. My concentration area is “Animals and Flowers”. Humans often set certain stereotypes for animals and the flowers represent different meanings depending on the culture of each country. So, I want to combine those two in my artworks because I want people to have different and interesting thoughts when looking at my art. I'm not pursuing a career in art, but I wish to continue to make art throughout my college and later in life.  I hope you somewhat enjoy my artwork!
